In 2007 Robert KG4NEP used his station for a SO effort while several of us activated the W4NC club station. For 2008, both W4NC and W4WS will be QRV as Multi/Single operations!
The
Winston-Salem Courteous Operator's Club was originally founded in 1994 by
members of the Forsyth Amateur Radio Club
who had a special interest in contesting, as well as visiting Prince's On the
Park for pizza, wings and beer after FARC meetings. Membership in the club
requests you to be a member of the FARC, OR operate the CQWW SSB contest with
our team at least once. (You will then be privy to the Order of The Scepter...) The vanity call W4WS was received in
1997 with Henry Heidtmann,
W2DZO as trustee. We are affiliated with CDXA (Carolina DX Association) and many of our
members are affiliated with the North Carolina
Chapter of The Potomac Valley Radio Club (PVRC).
